Newsletter Nerd Club Live in DC
We're putting together a LIVE Newsletter Nerd Club in Washington, DC, on August 26 or 27. Exact time and date isn't finalized but we'll update it here and in Future Community.
This will be an hour or two for communications and content people to talk newsletters and related audience work. Learn. Listen. Share. Ask big questions. Get real feedback. Here's some of what you'll leave with:
- How to connect a newsletter to revenue and fundraising.
- Why AI means that newsletters have more relevance than ever and play an organizing role in your content program.
- How to staff a newsletter and create content that works in an already overwhelmed comms shop.
- How newsletters are working in channels other than email like YouTube, WhatsApp and Signal.
- Pros and cons of common newsletter, email, and eCRM platforms.
We're looking for a few folks to stand up and share about their newsletter, the stats, the story of it, challenges, what's next, etc. Is that you? If so (or if you're just want to stay updated) drop me a line or put your name in this form 👇
How Newsletter Nerd Club Works
A Newsletter Nerd Club event is big on learning, sharing, and problem solving. An hour goes roughly goes like this:
- We dig into a topic that's on the minds of newsletter operators and nonprofit communicators. This month we're honing in on Growth.
- We run an exercise, demo some tools, and/or hop into breakouts to get folks talking about today's theme.
- We open up for some guided Q&A and conversation. Bring some questions. Get answers.
