Newsletter Nerd Club

The next Newsletter Nerd Club is on July 8th. Join us to build your thriving community of newsletter nerds. We'll also be centering this conversation around growth (both the how tos and the whys of it).

Newsletter Nerd Club
We're talking with new friends about Newsletters.

Let's get together to show off some newsletters, share ideas about audiences and format and tools, get tips, ask for (and get) advice.

Newsletter Nerd Club is a free, open and safe conversation with newsletter-y folks (and the newsletter curious) from non-profits, news organizations and other outposts of the newsletter world.

  • When: July 8th at 1 pm Eastern. That's 10 am Pacific. It's also 3 am July 9th in Sydney (AEST). Sorry, my Australian friends. We'll do better soon.
  • Where: On Zoom.
  • What: We'll be focusing on newsletter growth this time. We'll talk about hows of growth as well as the whys. Most of the hour will set aside to meet other folks, ask questions of each other and build connections to support your work.
  • Why: Because there are some good and successful newsletters out there in our space but there could and should be many more. Newsletters can help our organizations reach new people, build loyalty, inform, excite, engage and (do tell!) even help raise money. Let's learn together and have some fun doing it.
  • Who: In addition to you (right?) we'll be joined by Bryan Vance who has all kinds of newsletter and nonprofit experience.

Bryan runs Stumptown Savings and Feed Your Curiosity. He previously ran newsletters for CityCast and has been a big part of email and digital at Trust for Public Land and Oregon Public Broadcasting. Woot!
  • How: Register here.

There is a small fee. If that's an obstacle (or you have any questions) reach out to Ted.

This will be fun (or at least not boring 😄), useful, and you'll meet at least three 3️⃣ newsletter people. I think you'll meet more but three seems safe.
